205 Uhler Terrace
Built in 1920 in the Arts & Craft style, 205 Uhler underwent an extensive renovation/addition with the previous owners in 2013-2014. The current owner added an outdoor fireplace and seat wall in 2016. In 2022, a delayed Covid project opened up the basement area in the footprint of the original house. This involved taking a carpeted area 6’8” in height and digging down 3 ft., to create an almost 9’ clearance, fixing structural issues and building out the current den.
Particular elements to note are the mahogany doors from the original renovation, stained glass in the front door and at the top of the stairs, the coffered ceilings (using reclaimed wood) in the living room, the 750 bottle wine room and custom tile and window treatments throughout.
Take note too of all the Pittsburgh Steeler memorabilia. The homeowner has close family ties to a former Pittsburgh Steeler and remains a rabid fan and lifelong season ticket holder! And keep an eye out for the “ART” and animal sculptures by local artist Lisa Schumaier.
A generous double lot and extensive landscaping make this a very special spot.
