Join Clinical Herbalist Kay Sidahmed, PhD, MS, for a guided tour of her medicinal garden in Del Ray. You will meet many familiar and maybe a few unfamiliar plant friends, and might be surprised to learn how even the ones commonly despised as weeds, have significant medicinal properties and offer us healing support. Learn how easy it is to grow plants that are supportive of our well-being, and how you can start working with them at home. The tour will be 30 minutes, with an invitation to stay for more questions and conversation afterwards.

 

Kay is founder and owner of Cura Viriditas, a clinical herbal practice, offering individual and group consultations as well as classes and workshops. In her work  Kay simultaneously draws from the findings and tools of modern science as well as traditional herbal healing knowledge and wisdom from around the world. Informed by this unique intersection of tradition and science, her practice offers clients a space to reconnect with the healing gifts of plants in a way most suitable for the challenges of modern-day life. Her work focuses largely on menopause and cancer support, and she is passionate about bringing people together and creating communal and inclusive spaces of learning and exploration.
