This 1930 Craftsman style bungalow is the definition of cozy and the motivation for its purchase in 2004.  A mother-in-law suite in the basement was added that same year and the kitchen was renovated in 2009.  A screened front porch with exposed eaves, while not a typical Craftsman style feature, was completed in 2022 and is a welcome addition spring through fall.

Of particular notice are the custom built in’s and the original windows which were refurbished in 2019. There is even an original fold down ironing board recessed into the wall in the kitchen.

Roses reign supreme here with a special trellis for a Constance Spry climber.  Another climbing rose on the shed is from a cutting from a rose given to her grandfather by her father.  Additionally, look for peonies, bee balm, yellow Baptisa, pink yarrow and a white butterfly bush.  A little patio outside the basement door with a St. Francis statue, is a memorial spot for two well loved dogs and the green bench and fountain are an homage to the Tuileries Garden in Paris.

The well used back deck is home to tea parties in May, the living room fireplace has been background for a wedding, and authentic Cassoulet welcomes friends every New Year’s day for lunch.
