309 Hume Avenue

Originally featured on our 2012 H&G tour, 309 Hume is back with a variety of new and improved spaces.  The original 1920 2.5 bedroom/3 bath house was expanded in 2021-2022 to 4 bedrooms/5.5 baths with a 9 ft bump out on one side and a bay window on the other.  

While the family needed more space, it was important to the owners that the renovation was in keeping with the neighbors and its original style - no “McMansioning” here!

Interior highlights include a St. Clair Kitchen, moving the laundry from the basement to the second floor, a mudroom/bar, concrete countertops, the primary bathroom modeled right from a picture on Houzz, and two different types of wall bookshelves and a cool rolling ladder in each of the three girls bedrooms that leads to a secret reading cubby. 

On the exterior look for a 1972 SHASTA trailer, a large deck, butterfly attracting perennials, a family size corn hole court that doubles as a lacrosse practice space, and an outdoor shower and hot tub pad.
