31 Rosecrest Avenue

Featured on our 2018 tour, 31 Rosecrest is back with a newly finished basement and an ADU built over an existing garage.

The owners have remained true to the style and aesthetic of this traditional 1925 home, salvaging original light fixtures where possible, using new, period appropriate light fixtures when necessary and sourcing 1920’s style push button light “switches”.  The updated kitchen conforms to the original footprint and has linoleum flooring.  Don’t miss the four hanging stained glass windows in the living room and master bedroom that were rescued from a 1910 home in England.

Moving to the backyard, the owners added a new flagstone patio and then turned their attention to an older, seldom used garage.  The completely renovated garage interior now serves multiple purposes - gym, storage, etc., while the new second floor acts as a wonderful guest suite for friends and family.  When viewed from the separate entrance on Del Ray Avenue, it is clear how hard the homeowners worked to mimic the lines/details/siding/etc. of the main house.
