This 1925 classic craftsman is quintessential Del Ray. The current owners have been lovingly renovating and breathing new life into the space since 2019. The most recent project is the biggest: they’ve nearly finalized a massive renovation that threaded the needle of making the space more functional while maintaining original details and charm throughout.  What you see today is the culmination of more than two years of extensive work, but there’s more to come! The charming kitchen is temporary, the owners have a vision for cabinetry and an eat-in table as part of the final kitchen.

Allowing the home to feel true to its original form was a guiding principle for the homeowners during their renovations. They recreated the hip style roof, saved original trimwork where possible and otherwise custom matched new trim, and selected light fixtures are accurate to the 1920s. So many treasures in this home are curated antiques, both from the owners’ families and collected from vintage markets like Lucketts in Leesburg. Enjoy the mix of art featured throughout, including some pieces the homeowner made!

Upstairs, the recent addition turned the original attic space into a full second story with dormers. The landing serves as a beautiful and functional office space.
