1 W Mt Ida Painting.jpg
1 West Mount Ida Avenue

Built in 1944, this building was originally a corner grocery store serving the Del Ray community until the 1980s before being converted to the lovely one-story home you see today.  Between then and now, 1 W Mount Ida was featured on past Del Ray House & Garden Tours in 1999 and 2004 and on Season 33 of HGTV’s House Hunters: this property stays ready for its close up!

The unique room shapes give hints to the property’s previous life, but no detail was spared by the current owners in making this house a home – note the large island that was custom made in the exact shape of the kitchen. Look for nods to the homeowners’ favorite travel destination - France - throughout and don’t miss the gorgeous Aga stove, in the discontinued mid-size that fits just perfectly in the home.

Views abound from 1 West Mount Ida: the large storefront windows give a perfect view of the Del Ray landmarks and traditions, like the Caboose and the Turkey Trot, and the homeowners enjoy a bird’s eye view of the neighborhood from their private roof deck.
